Dr. Yumi Ando
Dr. Ando majored in East Asian Studies at Harvard College and received an MPH in international health from the University of Michigan. She went on to complete her MD and residency in Internal Medicine at Stanford. After working in international health at the US State Department, she ultimately found her passion in patient-centered care. Dr. Ando is board-certified in both Internal Medicine and Integrative Medicine and embraces a holistic approach to patient care. In her spare time she enjoys spending time with her family, running, knitting and doing Taiko.

Dr. Kathryn Saxton
A native Californian, Dr. Saxton began her career in genetic research before earning her Doctorate in Osteopathic Medicine and completing her Family Medicine residency at UCSF Santa Rosa, where she developed a strong focus on integrative, mind–body care. She is board-certified in both Family and Integrative Medicine and enjoys cooking, sports, art and architecture, reading, travel, and time with her family.

Adam Barde, Dir. of Operations
Adam is a Bay Area native and seasoned healthcare leader with nearly 30 years of experience, including over a decade in concierge medicine and membership-based practices, joining Oakwood Medical in 2024 after long-term collaboration with Dr. Ando. He brings deep expertise in operations, patient experience, and organizational strategy, and enjoys fitness, podcasts, and spending time with his family and Great Pyrenees.

Crystal Nebreda, LVN
Crystal is a Licensed Vocational Nurse and Executive Assistant to Dr. Saxton with over 15 years of experience in both primary care and specialty practices, known for her enthusiasm, kindness, and commitment to exceptional patient care. She enjoys spending time with her family at the beach, traveling, exploring new cities, eating outdoors, and snowboarding.

Denise Gaytán, LVN
Denise is the Executive Assistant to Dr. Ando and a Licensed Vocational Nurse with nearly a decade of experience in patient care and healthcare coordination, including roles as lead nurse in outpatient mental health and as the MAT Coordinator at Santa Rita Jail. She brings a unique blend of clinical expertise, organization, and calm, compassionate support to both patients and providers. Denise finds inspiration in the arts and enjoys connecting with creativity through films, galleries, and cultural events. She lives by the motto: “Health, happiness, and success IS your natural vibration.”

Freba Hadaf, MA
Born in Afghanistan, Freba was brave enough to leave as a refugee with her young daughter and has since become a long-time Bay Area resident with 30 years of medical experience, including over two decades in concierge medicine. She enjoys hiking and spending time with her family in her free time.
